Highlights: Paris Fashion Week Fall Winter 2017 | Day 3

The trends have been confirmed as each day passes by, Paris Fashion Week Fall Winter 2017 embraces the laid-back, the sporty and once and while, as in Manish Arora, a bold use of color.

Clare Waight Keller had her final chance to show at Paris Fashion Week Fall Winter 2017 as Chloe‘s Creative Director, well aware of the ruling trend of masculine womenswear and sporty inspirations, she was able to consolidate a dual collection in which high femininity appeared as much as laid-back looks on stage. Lavalliere neckties were a must, as well as dressing up in a 70’s vibe using the bold prints to blazingly color the runway.

Rick Owens went XXL, following the sportswear theme as a main source of inspiration, its outspoken designs were accompanied by rabbit-ear sleeves and long-line pieces, all oscillating around an artistic approach to fashion-as it is tradition in his portfolio. Pascal Millet was also an sportswear advocate for Fall/Winter 2017 with its “fuss-free femininity”, as it was Guy Laroche the day before. The mix between simple and luxurious was summoned for a modern woman, yet it kept its distance for similarly inspired brands by bringing outerwear to the game in a warm and laid-back nod.

Uplifting color danced freely to the tribal rhythms of Manish Arora, beating with the pulse of prints and patterns. Far away from the drums of nature, walking in the urban jungle, Paco Rabanne and Balmain’s women landed both a state of metropolitan confidence. Rabanne signature dresses were drenched in metallic textures mutated with sporty influences, while keeping fabrics fluid in asymmetrical lines; while Balmain featured mixed materials and layering clearly following Oliver Rousteing’s aesthetic consisting in complex textures with leather and velvet as main protagonists and a palette inspired in nature that hearkened to the darkof the night.

To close the day, Isabel Marant paid homage to her label’s DNA, boho was once again the code in which her collection was written through stylish versions of ethnic and outdoorsy outfits. Cropped sweaters in the key of sport pieces and girly skirts were the lovers in her bohemian romance.
