Milan Fashion Week F/W 2017: Women In Color & In Power

The last days of Milan Fashion Week included striking highlights from Blugirl’s lady in black velvet to Versace’s rocker-in-charge full of feminist messages.

Emporio Armani presented in Milan a collection full of monochrome pieces flowing in black and white, speaking of patterns the proposals were classic and playful with checks approaching to the classic side and dots going for a playful vibe. The silhouettes were elongated and sometimes accessorized with furs, while the highlights were by far a graphic eclectic style and hints of fucsia and red after a neutral palette.

Etro was as print-heavy as Moschino, but with a really distinct approach to colors and figures since the inspiration was a culturally rich insight on mediterranean mosaics, artistic palettes and engraved metallic accessories.

Blugirl held a runway where aristocrat elegance walked in classy shades and appliqués; velvet, pearls, lace and embroidered motifs all became the armour of Blugirl’s belle of the ball in what seemed as the most romantic yet sober perspective of fashion in the schedule.

Versace was a explosion of striking colors and feminist messages; overflowing with character, Donatella’s woman was fierce as a storm both in politics and aesthetics with acid tones and shades of black mixing for a powerful sight in a socially conscious rocker enjoying its most electric side, we forecast the color highlights in the hair as a style trend next winter.

Tod’s closes our day in review with a gorgeous woman in a gender neutral silhouette, as if it has inherited the gallantry of a prince in her feminine wardrobe in white, with long coats and capes and tall boots walking in once in a while. Structured and comfortable versions of gracious clothing were spotted while the woman at the catwalk seemed ready to go rescue her beloved in a sturdy horse.
